Friends of the Earth locked out of COP 15 in Bella center

Friends of the Earth has been locked out of COP15. President Nimmo Bassey was refused entry despite having both the registration card and the additional card required for NGOs to enter. While other NGOs have restricted participation, no members of FOE at all are being allowed in.

José Bové, an MEP, protested the lock-out, sitting in the foyer of the Bella Center. He was taken to a room and detained by the security staff. He was released a short time ago.

FOE is the first to be locked out. All but 1000 NGO representatives will be locked out on Thursday. Only 90 will be allowed in on Friday. This is not an open conference!

It is a scandal!
